Old Navy Nico, Closeup, little smile
February 9th, 2008Hi!
Hi!
The weather’s been great the past 2 days. This is one of my favorites from a batch I shot this morning: Nico just lost in thought…
Charlie Rose interview with master photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson.
The comments from viewers at the page linked above are almost as good as listening the master.
Ever since I can remember, Grandma’s had this Home Sweet Home sign at her house. Nostalgia is a strong sense..
Lots of cool news out of Steve Jobs’ Macworld keynote, but this is perhaps the most interesting: Apple shipped 4M iPhones in 200 days. Apple probably set a low bar last year when they announced the iPhone — and their 1M unit sales target, but still: has any other phone shipped that much that fast?
Looking back at my blog entries, it’s pretty obvious that I wrote nothing in 2007. Nico is definitely why.
Just got a brand new watch from Christmas gift money. I love this thing. Self-winding, mechanical movement, shows the day of the week and the date. A classic “Seiko 5″.
Great article in the International Herald Trbune about Hillary Clinton’s focus on her experience as First Lady — and whether or not there’s something really worth leaning on.
“Now comes a paper which argues that one branch of the subject—geometry—could form the basis of all the laws of physics.”
- The Economist, November 22, 2007
Several elements of the story make it even more intriguing. Apparently the paper’s author, Garrett Lisi, isn’t a professor anywhere - like Einstein in 1905.
Worth our time: (12/19/07 addition: and our action):
