First Cappuccino

I took a first cut at making a cappuccino with the home Barista machine. I’ve had the machine for a couple years now and have always stuck to espresso or americani; for no particular reason I decided I should learn how to actually make something with more than just coffee and water.

Google led me to two interesting sites on making lattes and cappuccinos. RADIFIED gets you in the mood to do it right and links to CoffeeGeek’s guide for the details.

Not as easy as I thought it would be, but pretty fun figuring it out. My first attempt to get small bubbles in the milk wasn’t too bad. Not too good either. And I didn’t get the mixture of milk and espresso right.

Still, better than one I’ve bought at the store. Pride of ownership, I guess.
